Week 1
Introduction to Reiki & Energy Fundamentals
Dive into exploring the human energy field, including chakras and energy systems, and how Reiki supports can support your holistic healing as a caring professional.
Week 2
Reiki I Attunement & Self-Care Practices
Learn self-care techniques + the correct hand positions for self-treatment. We'll focus in on fostering your personal balance and well-being.
Week 3
The Reiki Principles & Energy Awareness
Explore the five Reiki principles + how to integrate them into your daily routine- PLUS how to sense and manage energy in yourself and others.
Week 4
Hand Positions & Techniques for Treating Others
Focus on the foundational hand positions used during Reiki treatments. Students will practice giving Reiki to one another, understanding proper energy boundaries, and learning how Reiki can complement traditional treatments.
Week 5
Patient Intake & Conducting Reiki Sessions
Students will practice conducting Reiki sessions, including developing an effective intake process, setting healing intentions, and ensuring clear communication during treatments to build trust with patients.
Week 6
Chakra Healing & Emotional Support
This week focuses on understanding the relationship between the chakras and emotional health. Students will practice using Reiki to balance energy centers, promoting emotional healing and supporting patients’ mental well-being.
Week 7
Advanced Energy Scanning & Healing Techniques
Students will learn advanced techniques for scanning the energy field and identifying blockages or imbalances. They will practice using their intuition to guide healing sessions, enhancing their ability to support patients in a deeper way.
Week 8
Reiki for Non-Human Healing (Animals, Plants, Environments)
Students will be introduced to the practice of Reiki for animals, plants, and even work environments. This session focuses on the versatility of Reiki in holistic care, including remote healing techniques.
Week 9
The Healing Process & Practitioner Self-Care
Understanding the healing process in patients and healthcare providers. Emphasis will be on the importance of self-care, energy management, and staying grounded as a healthcare practitioner to prevent burnout and promote long-term effectiveness.
Week 10
Distant Healing & Addressing Energy Blockages
Training in distant healing techniques and methods to clear energy blockages. Students will practice sending Reiki to patients at a distance, enhancing their ability to support patients who are not physically present.
Week 11
Week 11: Integrating Reiki into Professional Practice & Patient Care
This week focuses on practical applications of Reiki in a clinical or healthcare setting. Students will learn how to integrate Reiki into their daily work and support patients through energy-based practices alongside conventional treatments.
Week 12
Review, Final Attunement & Certification
A review of the core techniques learned throughout the course. Students will receive their final Reiki I attunement and certificate of completion, along with guidance on continuing their Reiki journey within their healthcare practice.

Because reiki benefits individuals it can be practiced on self, colleagues, family, and friends. You don't have to be a nurse OR currently practicing to benefit from the course.
All modules will be recorded and uploaded to your Course portal within 48 hours. You will also be able to listen to the audio version of the course & view a written summary of each call.
Professional Continuing Education currently provides CEs via the Kansas State Board of Nursing (Provider # ****). You can check to see if your state Nursing Board accepts KSBN CEs ***HERE***
For Other professions, we recommend obtaining approval from your organization prior to enrolling in the course.
You will retain access to the course through May 31st, 2026.

Reiki is a Japanese holistic healing technique that uses gentle, intentional energy transfer through the hands to support balance and healing in the body, mind, and spirit.
No prior experience is necessary. Reiki I is designed for beginners and will provide you with all the foundational knowledge and techniques you need.
Reiki can be used alongside conventional medical treatments to support relaxation, reduce stress, ease pain, and promote healing. Many healthcare providers use Reiki to enhance patient care, improve therapeutic rapport, and support their own resilience and self-care.
After completing Reiki I, you are qualified to practice Reiki for yourself, friends, family, and (with appropriate consent and licensing compliance) in supportive roles within your healthcare setting. To work as a Reiki practitioner professionally with clients, most people complete Reiki II.
The Reiki attunement is a sacred energetic process performed by the instructor to open your energetic channels. It is a gentle, safe experience designed to align you with the Reiki healing energy.
You can integrate Reiki techniques where appropriate, always following your institution’s policies and professional ethical guidelines. In some clinical settings, Reiki is offered informally through “healing touch,” or formally through integrative medicine programs.
Reiki is not a religion. It is a spiritual healing practice that can complement any belief system. It emphasizes universal energy, compassion, and mindfulness without requiring religious affiliation.
There is no formal written exam. Competency is based on participation and completion of surveys regarding the Reiki techniques taught throughout the course.
You will receive a comprehensive Reiki I manual, a session practice log, worksheets for personal reflection, and a certificate upon completion (see above FAQ re: CE credits)
